About Us

Larry Andringa is a licensed and professional funeral director.
He has a license to practice in Iowa and Minnesota. Larry received
his education from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago,
Illinois, graduating in 1981. Larry has a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Biology with a minor in Theology from Westmar University in
LeMars, Iowa. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps from
1974-1978.
Larry and Lavonne moved to Sibley in 1983 and opened Andringa
Funeral Home. In 1991, they purchased Andringa Funeral Home Sheldon
Funeral Service in Sheldon. In 1994. they built Andringa Funeral
Chapel in Ocheyedan, Iowa.
Larry is a member of the Iowa Funeral Directors Association and
the National Funeral Directors Association. He is also a member of
the International Order of the Golden Rule, which selects
outstanding funeral homes that have demonstrated their commitment
to the funeral industry through dedicated service and a high
awareness of the needs of their communities. Once a funeral home is
selected for membership to the Order of the Golden Rule, they must
continue to provide quality service to retain their membership.
